After reading the "First Look", I can honestly say that this book is incredibly well written. In this incredible debut novel, Scholte provides YA readers with a new perspective on YA fantasy. Scholte writes with such clear descriptions that it is easy to picture the fantastic images that she creates. The characters are well-developed and easily lovable.

The queens have distinctly different I am excited to learn more about the four queens and the events that lead to their fate. While the queens preside over their rulings, a thief, Keralie, is working with a strange messenger she stole a comm from to investigate the impending fate of the kingdom as a whole. The story sounds intriguing and engaging from the beginning!
