This was nothing like I was expecting it to be. The plot was a gigantic mystery that unveiled in such a way that kept you in the dark until the perfect time. The author presented the four different kingdoms, queens, and Kera in such a way that you can understand the world. It could have easily been difficult to imagine but it was not.
The romance was a slowburn that was not the focus of the narrative. Which I actually enjoyed. Instead it focused on the mystery of who killed the queens.
The cover is beautiful and simple. It gives the perfect blend to not give anything away.
Overall this book would be perfect for fans of many different YA genres. Lovers of mystery, dystopian, and fantasy alike will really enjoy this one!
