"Four Dead Queens" is an amazing book. At first, I thought it was kinda cliché, but as I kept reading, I totally changed my mind. It is one of a kind, as it combines two book genres: fantasy and dystopian.
At first it seems like the story is set at medieval times or generally somewhen at the past, with four queens ruling a divided kingdom, simple people who loathe them and struggle to survive and girls wearing fancy dresses and corsets. However, it soon gets clear that this is not the case. Technology is highly appreciated in almost every kingdom and it is clear that it's far more advanced than I had thought at first.
Concerning the book itself, it's really well-written and absolutely absorbing, makes you thirsty for more. Also it really easy to fall in love with the characters, even though they all have a dark side. Most of them are females, something that helped me identify with them, too.
To sum up, I totally recommend the book even thought I just had a sneak peek of it. If you are a Red Queen lover, this is the book for you. Last, but not least, be careful! If you consist of "fangirl" material, get read to fall in love with the male characters, the way I did only by reading the first five chapters of this incredible book!
