This is a debut fantasy set in a world with 4 quadrants. Each quadrant is run by a queen and the main character, a thief named Keralie finds out there are plans for the queens to be killed.
First off I would like to say that I definitely enjoyed this book but I do not like how it was marketed. The front cover says, "One big lie. Two forbidden romances. Three days to catch a killer." Based off of this I was expecting romance to be a larger part of the plot, but it was not. I would have loved to see more of the romances we did get to see.
Things I loved-
-I loved the characters and how we were able to follow not only Keralie and Varin, but also all of the queens. I think each character was a little flat and we could have learned more about them, but overall I enjoyed reading from all of their povs
-I enjoyed the plot of this book and it kept me wanting to read it. There were quite a few twists and turns that I did not expect
Things I did not love
-the writing was a little to straightforward and I wish it was a little more interesting
-I wish we could have seen more from each quadrant and the settings of this story
-The ending felt a little rushed
