When Four Dead Queens by Astrid Scholte was first announced, I jumped right on that bandwagon. I have been hoping that more Australian Authors would write Young Adult novels, as Australia only has a limited amount, and I wanted to support more local authors.
So when it was first announced, I was like yes, finally. But that wasn't the only reason this book caught my attention. The synopsis dragged me right into the story, and I NEEDED it.
Not only is it a fantasy novel, but it is also (in my opinion) a dystopian novel and a mystery novel.
Keralie would have to be one of my favourite characters of the year, as well as Four Dead Queens is in my top five (so far) of 2019!
The character progression of Keralie was amazing, and I did not expect the ending of this novel at all.
