I honestly wasn't sure if I would like this at first because I don't really like politics but from the little we have seen of each of the queens I was found each interesting in their own way. I am also looking forward to learning more about Keralie and the messanger. Mackiel definitely seems like a sinister character that will play an important role in the rest of this book. And that cliff hanger at the end of the sample has me wondering exactly how long the queens have been dead?
