The cover is very interesting, but very reminiscent of pretty much every other YA cover that's coming out now. The Lunar Chronicles, The Red Queen series, etc. So many have crowns on them, this one just has three more than the others. The story is really slow to start. It took me several tries to get through it, because the dialogue and story keeps getting interrupted by backstory and commentary. Everyone is so far into their own head it's hard to read. By the last chapter we get in the preview, it starts to pick up slightly. I'm curious to see where it goes, since only one queen is dead by now, and I was under the impression from the description all four would be dead in one go. Not an impressive start, but enough to pique my curiosity.
