Interesting world and premise, and I’m definitely looking forward to this one.

As soon as I heard of Four Dead Queens, I knew it was definitely going to be one I would (impatiently) anticipate. I adore a good fantasy that centers around kingdoms and royalty and I’ll admit, the biggest selling point for me with this book isn’t just the kingdoms and royalty, but FOUR kingdoms and queens. That’s like quadruple the fun and excitement. But my biggest question, and I’m sure one that will be answered nicely with the rest of the book — what’s the history behind the four Queens, why does this world require four, and do the Queens work together, or will there (hopefully) be a forthcoming battle for perhaps one queen to rule them all?

The first look is equally as fascinating as well, and at the end of the 66 or so pages, I’m already left wanting more. Atmospheric and rich, the first few pages were enough to hook me. I love pickpockets and thieves, simply because they always add an element of fun and excitement to any story. Keralie, from the first page, certainly sounds like a character that I’ll enjoy immensely — spunky, strong, and whip-smart, and I can’t wait to see what she brings to the rest of the story. I’m also really interested in the Queens themselves, and if the title is any sort of foreshadowing in terms of the future of the four Queens (and how Keralie fits into this whole equation!)
