An interesting new twist with some familiar aspects

I love the cover first off. Secondly, the synopsis sounds pretty good. As I read through the first look, what I saw was something that seemed kind of familiar from other stories, but had enough differences to make it so that I was eager to read on and see where this world would go. How it all worked, and what was different about this fantastical world.
