I wanted to love this book but it ended up just being a bit slow for me. The character development was well though out but I didn't see enough growth to interest me or keep me interested. The plot felt half finished and in the end this book just wasn't for me.
The cover was absolutely beautiful and that is what drew me in in the first place. I hope that the author finds the audience that will enjoy this type of fantasy but unfortunately that just isn't me. I did not finish the book but I can see how some people may like the fantasy side as well as the main character.

There was a slight romance and the overarching plot leads to an idea that this could be a series that fixes the plot. I hope to see the author continue to grow and maybe the next book will be one that I enjoy more than this.
