I have conflicting feelings about this book because, despite liking the characters and the idea, I don't believe it lived up to its full potential. Probably my biggest criticism of this town is the way its world was created. I wished we had looked into its history more, or at the very least, that we had been provided more details. Although I recognize that teenagers won't be familiar with their magical town's layout, I also believe that because of the town's unusualness, residents would at least EFFORT to find the answers. In spite of the fact that this is a love story at its core, the world building was still captivating to me.

However, I thought the romance element was really cute. I really love a good slow burn. cute! It definitely leans toward YA, so if you're not a fan, you might want to pass on buying it. I especially cherished their passionate and tender burn love. I was left with a nice feeling throughout, and I can't wait to read more from this author.
