I have mixed thoughts about this book because while I enjoyed the characters and premise, I don't think this book reached its true potential. The world building of this town is probably my biggest critique. I wished we had delved into the history of it more, or at least we were given more information. I understand that teenagers aren't going to know the lay of the land for their magical town, but I also think this town is so unique that they'd at least TRY to find answers. The world building was probably lessened because this is a love story at the end of the day, but I was entranced by the world.
But in terms of the romance, I thought it was super cute! It's very YA for sure, so if you are not a fan of that, then maybe do not pick it up. I specifically loved their dynamic and sweet burn love. It just warmed my heart the entire time, and I cannot wait to see what else this author writes.
