I highly enjoyed reading this magical book. I was so drawn to it immediately because of its beautiful, colorful cover artwork and design. The characters in the story Raf and Yas stole my heart from the beginning and never let go. I really enjoyed learning about the magic and world building the author gave us through out the book and how the slow burn of a budding romance between the main characters developed and grew throughout the book. Moonlight Bay was once a beautiful magical place that characters mourn due to the changes that have happened to it. In the end I feel like the author left us to interpret certain aspects of the book and magic but that is something I can appreciate and enjoy about the story. I think this would be a great introduction story for middle grade readers and above to magical realisms, fantasy, love and relationships.
