I'm not a huge fan of young adult novels however, this one does sound good. It sounds like a little bit of a twist on Romeo and Juliet, which many stories have taken inspiration from Shakespeare's work. There is the whole outsider falling in love trope, but with some magical realism thrown in, so this sounds fresh and interesting.
