I really like the premise of this book and was feeling fairly certain this was one I’d want to use my points on, but then I began reading the book. I honestly don’t think this is incredibly well written. Perhaps it’s simplicity is meant to appeal to the younger audience, but young adults aren’t stupid. Plenty of younger readers enjoy more complex writing. I’m disappointed, but is still be willing to try going a little further with the story before writing it off for good.
