This book written from the point of view of young people who have, unfortunately, made some wrong choices was really difficult to put down. From the word Go, I waited for the story to unfold. One realized soon enough that some mistakes are huge and it maybe near impossible to come back from them. The process of healing from these mistakes and the path that all involved must take, is dealt with compassionately and with a completely new thought process. If the system we have is not working , we need to rethink it urgently with a real attempt at rehabilitation.
“Hearing another adult tell me how they feel instead of checking how ‘I’ feel.” For me, this line summed up the book as I believe that adults have the first responsibility towards their children and, they must fulfill it.
