So, so far this is a really sad and tragic book. The ache for retribution and fixing what she did is so hard to read through. It’s extremely hard to read! I think this is also what makes it a good read as well. I can honestly say I’m a little broken after reading this, but the ending made it all worth it. I just was thrown into this world and it kinda wanted more. Overall it was a very emotional and thought provoking read. I need a little cool off period after reading this. I’m just glad that her parents saw that she truly didn’t mean to cause the pain she did and that she herself was in immense pain. It was really hard to read as well because I could see everyone’s point of view but also felt for Violeta because she was a child and teenagers make mistakes. That doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be held accountable just not to the extent of severe cruelty that was portrayed in this read. Honestly I can my favorite read of this year so far!
