Honestly, I was impressed by the premise/summary blurb. Right away, this struck me as something unique and harrowing, which is not the usual case for the genre and not what I’d expect glancing at the cover. Speaking of which, the cover is not the best. I think for the level of potential for this book to be a success with a broad audience of readers, the cover could be improved. The writing is good. The premise is what sells it for me as an adult who hardly connects with YA plots anymore. I’d definitely look into it further.
