I was really interested in this book after reading the synopsis of it. The subject matter is very unique and it focuses on one girl’s journey through the criminal justice system. Violetta is a 15 year old girl who drove drunk and killed her younger sister in a car accident; she must now try and work for her family’s forgiveness. I think the book will open up a lot of important conversations about forgiveness and the harshness of the juvenile justice system. I also think the cover of this book is super powerful as well.
