This book sounds so good, but also devastating. I think where it becomes a little muddy is that the cover doesn't portray the story very well. I think the chain link becoming birds is a great metaphor for the justice system, but there's nothing about this cover that tells me that the story is dystopian in any way - which is how the Trials feel to me. Either way, it sounds amazing and I will be reading it.
