Powerful and thought-provoking story – I love it so far!

This seems to be one of those heart-wrenching yet incredibly powerful stories that stay with you long after you’ve finished reading! The author has truly captured Violetta’s deep emotional pain and regret she goes through in the aftermath of everything that has happened. I enjoy the dual POVs that give readers insight into how such a tragedy can affect the whole family. The difficult themes in the book are handled well so far. This book also includes thought-provoking observations about the justice system, personal choices, and the responsibility that comes with it - when is given punishment fair and when not? I would love to continue reading the story to discover whether Letta gets her forgiveness, both from her loved ones and from herself.

I love the cover – it's simple yet so pretty and fits the story well. I especially love how the prison fence gradually transforms into flying birds in the background. It's such a creative touch!
