The cover is bold yet simplistic, I like the contrast of it. It is hard when you are young to always make all the right choices and decisions, so this book explores how much one bad choice can lead you down a path that takes away your control. The Juvenile Justice System is no joke for some kids who made a bad choice but aren't trying to be bad in nature. Having worked with kids in this system it does get stacked against them with a lot of factors when it comes to their home life, their friend groups, what they do that gets them in trouble, and how they figure out how to survive through the choices that led them down a wrong path, even if it is only one bad choice it can change everything.
