This book had me hooked from the synopsis. Such a tragic circumstance puts Violette in juvenile detention and her own family has the power to let her out. Wooooo. Deep, dark, emotional, this book is gonna wreck me. I don't know if I really like the cover though. It doesn't reflect the premise enough. But I like the drawing of a Black Asian character.
