"Forgive Me Not" by Jennifer Baker is a new take on an all to common topic. Ms. Baker did a wonderful job of coming up with a unique plot with interesting characters and a well described setting. The first 51 pages of this novel explains why Violetta is in the youth detention center (for the death of her 7 year old sister, due to a drunk driving accident). Her family chooses not to forgive her, which then requires Violetta serving a sentence, with the option of completing The Trials. The First Look ends with Violetta preparing for The Trials. Will she succeed and will she have her families forgiveness? Time will tell! Looking forward to finding out!
