detailed look at the premise of juveniles incarceration

I enjoyed this "first look" of Forgive me not. I think the idea of the victims having a say in the criminals punishment is an interesting concept. One thing I really enjoy about this story is the alternating viewpoints. You get to see Violetta's and her brother's viewpoints of the decision to have her go through the trials. It will be interesting to see what happens both during the trials and how it impacts both the victim (or family of) and the offender themselves. Juvenile offences are so grey in the legal world, it is interesting to have this book to look at as an example.
