Mistake or not, she made a stupid decision that caused someone's death, so I really have no sympathy for the main character. And then it shifts into some kind of society where apparently forgiveness is a commodity. The dystopian world just seems to be everywhere anymore and just kind of overdone. Writing is good, just not can't get into the story.
