I thought this book would just be an entertaining novel about social media and influencers. It was, but it was also so much more. I saw so much of my life in this story; the scary what-ifs that I had never thought of before. Like, what happens when technology is no longer good for us, but rather takes over our lives? How far would one go to retain influence? This book is about friendship, family, and followers, but it is also about learning to be authentic and to care for one another in real life. The characters were complex and at times difficult to like, but they were real and understandable - as difficult as it may have been. I loved this book and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for something new to read.
