This excerpt is well written and, I think, will certainly appeal to many readers. I only got about halfway through the excerpt before annoyance with the characters got to me and I stopped reading. Nothing against the writer or writing style at all. I'm a person who gets edgy with 5 minutes of The Bachelor, and I have no idea why so many people follow the Kardashians' every move. Honestly, I'm not even sure who the Kardashians are. And so a book with this type of focus isn't a good fit for me.
