So far, I think this book could go either way. The surprises that are in store could be great or just predictable. I'm really interested in what's going on in the future timeline and what all these references to death and blood are and would read more just to get relief from all the foreshadowing happening in the first few chapters. The writing so far just seems okay, but might take off later on. Some lines made me laugh out loud. I thought the cover was really pretty, and I'm interested in reading more to find out how exactly it ties in with the theme of the book.
