'Followers' introduces us to a great flawed character living in current times, Orla, and a future-based character, Marlow, whose every move is being watched by her respective followers. This excerpt had a strong "Black Mirror" vibe to it and I loved every bit of it. It gave us insight as to how social media and the concept of followers is affecting us as a society currently and what it could potentially morph into.
The writing is fun and descriptive. I truly love when authors can make me feel a little gross or appalled at a fictional character. The cover is eye-catching and vibrant. I will absolutely continue reading this book!
