This is such a cute YA romance novel, #FlirtingWithFate by #JCCervantes. From page one to the last page, the story about “fate” gave my heart flutters and goosebumps. The fusion cultures, Mexican and American, and the Spanglish language made theIr banters and conversations funnier. I think the author’s incorporation of cultural, traditional customs and practices to the story made the novel unique and wholesome. In this book, I particularly love the kick-ass grandma and her exuberant character. I love how the author introduced the new LatinX generation and their abilities to conquer and chase what they want to do with their lives while also keeping with the traditions. Moreover, the sisters’ strong bonds, the supports and camaraderies have helped them find their fate and destiny! There might be a tiny-drawback to the book, a bit fantastical since Ava’s chasing her blessing had a “spiritual beings” in the book. Nonetheless, I highly recommend this sweet and cute LatinX novel.

Thank you Bookishfirst and Razorbill Books for this #won copy in exchange for my honest review!
