This book gave me all the good feels. It makes you appreciate family and question the work of fate. The plot is very well thought out and executed magnificently. The fantasy/paranormal element is a huge part of the story. I loved the character of Saint Medardus. He was hilarious and charming. However, there were times when his presence made the story the next level of unbelievable. I like the fantasy genre, but sometimes there is just a little too much.
Ava and Rion have great chemistry together and their intertwining story is beautiful. Both main characters have huge development throughout the story, but everyone is touched and changed for the better. All the characters brought something special to the story and the side plots were very enjoyable. I most enjoyed how fate brought everything full circle whether you are a believer or not. It’s nice to be able to imagine having more time with loved ones and ensuring a magical future for your family. An excellent book about family and fate.
