With romance books being one of the biggest, most-read genres, authors are continually finding ways to make their book special and different than all the other books that are hitting the shelf. In "Flirting With Fate", author J.C. Cervantes achieves this by adding a little magic to her story. When Ava misses seeing her nana on her death bed, she misses the mystical blessing that her nana was supposed to giver her as she died. Instead of being given to Ava, the mystical blessing found its way to a young boy instead. Nana's ghost appears to Ava and tells her this and gives her a challenge to get the blessing back. Ava sets out on this mission but soon realizes it is a task bigger than she thought, especially since she might be falling for the boy. The title and cover of this book are eye catching. I would recommend this book for young adults mainly.
