The book seems ok to me so far. I like the premise, but Ava racing home, not only to say goodbye, but to get her blessing. It comes off as selfish and I think this book would read too young for my tastes. While I do like YA, this seems like for the younger end of YA. I know teens have a lot of attitude and angst in real life, but I personally don't care to read about that.
