This sounds like a refreshing spin on the usual YA fantasy trope. Rather than being a fantasy setting, it’s a realistic setting with magical elements. Rather than saving the world, the protagonist is saving Nana from this world. Rather than teen angst and love in dystopia, It’s about finding love when you don’t want it. I just hope the story isn’t heavy on teen sarcasm. That’s a tired trope.
