The Spanish matriarchy of the book reminds me a lot of Jane the Virgin. As I was reading the first look, I was imagining Ava as Jane and their characters are actually very similar! This seems like it would be a great, quick YA romance read that is very heartwarming. I love the first interaction between Ava and "the mystery boy" is full of emotions and anger. I think seeing the relationship between the two of them develop and seeing them grow closer together will be adorable and heartwarming.
