First things first, the cover is convincing. Simple yet sweet, it conveys a romcom-y vibe and I was intrigued.
While this is technically a young adult novel, it definitely doesn’t feel like that when reading it. I immediately got sucked into the story and was devastated when I reached the end of the first look!
In just 60 pages, you can tell this story is full of big emotions, and the excellent writing conveys them well. Spiritual without feeling preachy, fantastical without feeling fake, this book really is something else. Grief, loss, love, family, all the key words for a memorable story are there. Contemporary and cultural, I this is definitely a must read for me. Truly cannot wait!
