Flirting With Fate is atmospheric and magical

The opening line had me gripped right away! I loved that the prologue is from Death's perspective; the premise of Death as a character or a narrator has always worked well for me in the past with books like Belladonna or The Book Thief. I loved the humor Death has in the prologue and the count down to what is about to alter Ava's life.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere the author created in chapter one. The sudden storm and ominous elements paired with the nonchalant characteristics of the sisters was a nice juxtaposition. The opening scenes grasp my attention as a reader and have me excited to keep reading!
