I thought this book was boring and slow. I also thought there would be more dragon action in the book as well. This book reminded me a little of The hunger games/Harry Potter, but on the slow and dry side. There were games to see who will win fireborne leader. Lee and Annie were sent in an Orpahange because of a battle that killed their parents, now called Palace Day. But they find out that the old regime is still around and wants what was taken from them and Lee knows he's one of those people but he is stuck trying to keep his friends alive and his relatives that want Callipolis back. I DNFd this book halfway thru and could not finish it. Maybe I will try and pick it back up later and finish it.
