Fireborne was one of the books I was most excited about when I first heard about it back in 2019. The entirety of the description seemed so intriguing, especially since I was getting back into the love of fantasy books and medieval-style settings. It just felt like it was lacking something, the plot was eh, characters were bland and the story seemed to slowly trudge on.

I love a good book about war and dragons, but it seemed like that being in the description was merely there to get you interested in the book. With a book with a dragon on the cover, you would think there would be a multitude of dragons, but unfortunately, that is not the case.

I truly wish we could go back to having more stand-alone books instead of series. Sometimes it seems like the authors don't have the entire story together so they cut it into a series.
