Fireborne reminds me a lot of the Eragon Inheritance series yet it pulls you in at a personal level as it is written in first person and you are inside the mind of the narrator and can see what they see and hear their thoughts. As a teacher, I like the aspect where the emotions and rivalry are relatable to the teenagers I teach. I can see them enjoying this book because though it is fantasy, they can still relate to the emotions and actions of the characters, especially those who want to rebel or don't quite fit in. As I only had a chance to read a small portion of the book, I can say I am intrigued and it could be a great hit for us fantasy lovers. I predict challenges, betrayals, emotions running wild, and character growth.
