Dragons and dragonriders! This seems fun. I liked that this book seems to be set just after a revolution, instead of during or just before. That is, so many YA fantasy books are set under a bad regime and center on creating a revolution. So in this book we see aftermath and rebuilding instead, in a way that's not common to the genre. The writing style so far was fine, but didn't blow me away. Same for the characters, but I think I could start getting more attached to them if I read further.
