How to Train Your Dragon made YA
After that striking cover and intriguing, how could Fireborne fail to capture readers' attention? The writing has a mysterious and almost mythical quality, and the fact that every chapter we start with a new flashback is a unique way of slowly revealing tantalising bits of information.
I also found it initially reminiscent of the popular How to Train Your Dragon series, and I liked being able to make that connection to my childhood. However, this book is clearly far more sophisticated, and even though it took me a while to get to grips with the characters and the world, I would certainly be interested in finding out more.
