Opening with a haunting prologue that lays the groundwork for a work deeply interested in examining present-day societal ills in a way that promises to be fresh and new, "Fireborne" marks Rosaria Munda's entry into the larger fantastical conversation about what other worlds offer to readers ready to think differently about ours. While only a selection was available to me as of this review, I very much look forward to laying my hands on a print copy sometime in the future.
