Fireborne reminds me of Nevernight by Jay Kristoff but with dragons. It's characters are strong willed already and there is already intriguing comparisons despite totally separate backgrounds that can work beautifully to drive the plot forward.
The world building was great as I already had a good understanding of the underlying political views of the society at different social statuses and how they reached those conclusions so overall a very exciting first look!
