I absolutely loved this book, from beginning to end. It drew me in with the storyline. Growing up in a family business I can relate. At age 12 working for a family business and trying to measure up. Working all hours, alot of frustration and being held accountable to be better than the rest. The trials and tribulations and having high expectations. I enjoyed the description of the foods and how she learned at an early age to prepare and showed her love through her food. Throughout the book i was finding myself hungry and wanted to cook/eat what was being described in the book.
Its sad the way the Dad wanted a son and the way his daughter got treated differently. But her love for food should not have mattered. Even though she had to think about her life and the long hours of working in a restaurant, she never lost the love.
I believe this book with be a big hit and highly recommend it to all.
