Thank you to Celadon books for this ARC.

I know I say this a lot in my reviews but this book made me so emotional and what Erin went through for her own happiness and her own restaurant(s).

Erin grew up on a farm in a small town in Freedom, Maine (population 719). Her family owned a diner which she grew up in and "worked the line." Her mom was a rock and her father was just a plain mean drunk and she never did right by him and always wanted a son. She wanted to go to medical school and dropped out to move back home since she was pregnant at 21. Jaim was her life.

It's unbelievable the trials and tribulations that she went through with her life and her ex-husband who was a jerk (I would use another word but I won't) He took away her well-established restaurant and her son (he adopted him) and her life and livelihood and left her to rebuild her life and other restaurants from scratch that he took from her when she was in rehab from the stress and strain from working so hard. She basically lost everything and had to start all over again. She is not a formally trained chef but made beautiful food that people would come from miles around to eat.

If I ever get to this small town you know where I'd be eating
