Erin French spent her childhood in her father’s diner and learned hard work from him. She was stuck helping out more than a kid should have been and she often felt like she had to fight to get her father’s love.
As an adult, Erin makes many mistakes and eventually finds her way to working in restaraunts and owning her own which was her dream. Unfortunately the husband she thought was her best friend turned out to be the opposite of an ally to her.
Throughout the story I had a really hard time putting it down. I wanted to see what was going to happen and how Erin would make things better for herself.
I really enjoyed this memoir and that’s saying a lot since I am not that interested in restaurants or cooking. I just really was invested in the story! Great choice for anyone that likes memoirs.
