If I'm being honest, I was not quite sure I was going to like this book. However, I absolutely loved it. The way that she wrote it made it seem as if you were sitting down with her over coffee and having a conversation. It was like talking to a friend and hearing their story. The author was so open and raw. At times it made me laugh, at times I truly felt the depth of her feelings. I could not put this book down. It was so relatable, especially for someone like me living in a rural small town and going through her own marriage issues. Being a mom, I could really connect with the way that she talked about her child as well.
The way that she talks about the food and about cooking is the same way that an artist, such as myself, talks about their art. It something that brings peace to the creator. You can tell that she puts her whole heart into her cooking and she is right where she belongs!
