This book is the memoir of Erin French, the chef and owner a of world famous dining destination. The cover is absolutely gorgeous. Erin grew up in rural Freedom, Maine, splitting time between her family's dinor and their country farm. The dinor was a family affair, with her father, grandfather and grandmother initially sharing the duties. Erin was pressed into service on the line at age 12 and quickly stated learning some of the lessons of a restaurant kitchen - time management, multitasking, responsibility. I think this seems like a promising memoir. Erin seems like an interesting character, and I'm keenly interested to hear what paths led her from a single mom working the line at the family diner to a critically acclaimed chef.
